How to use Gmail on your phone  
1. Install the Gmail App

Android

Open Google Play Store.
Search for Gmail.
Tap Install.

iPhone / iPad

Open App Store.
Search for Gmail.
Tap Get and install.
(Many Android phones have Gmail pre-installed.)

2. Sign In

Open the Gmail app.
Tap Sign in.
Enter your Google account email and password.
Complete 2-step verification if prompted.

3. Navigating the App

Inbox: Shows your received emails.
Compose Button (+ / pencil icon): Start a new email.
Search Bar: Find emails quickly.
Menu (☰ icon): Access labels, folders, settings, and other accounts.

4. Sending an Email

Tap the Compose icon.
Fill in:
To: recipient email address
Subject: short summary
Body: your message

(Optional) Tap the paperclip to attach files or photos.
Tap Send (paper airplane icon).

5. Reading & Organizing Emails

Tap any email to open it.
Swipe left/right to archive, delete, or mark as read/unread (customizable in settings).
Tap the Label icon to assign labels.

6. Notifications & Settings

Open the Menu → Settings → [Your Account].
Customize:
Notifications: get alerts for new emails.
Sync frequency: how often emails update.
Signature: add your personal signature automatically.

7. Multiple Accounts

Gmail app supports multiple accounts:
Open Menu → Add account.
Sign in with another Gmail (or non-Google email using IMAP/POP).
Switch accounts easily by tapping your profile picture.
